Ten Plots Everyone* Uses For Phineas and Ferb Fanfiction

Disclaimer: I have nothing against people who write these kinds of plots. In fact, I generally enjoy these stories, as long as they’re not the types that involve four sentences about how someone dies in the first two words and then Phinabella moment midway and then some bird crashes into the screen…etc. Anyways, I’m just saying that it would be nice to have a change in pace…from the 925,600 stories about the following ten plots everyone uses for Phineas and Ferb fanfictions:

1: School’s in session.

Phineas_Ferb_reform_school_tools 2

Why do Phineas and Ferb magically never have school even though there has been well over 104 episodes? Do they do multiple creations on some days, like: “Oh, so it disappeared. Let’s do another freaking one where everyone just resets from where they were at the beginning!”

Anyways, due to this fact and the “Word Of God” statement from the creators that explicitly stated that the series will only cover time off from school, there seems to be a general fandom curiosity to as what school is like for the characters.

And then, someone somehow dies while at school due to a random ninja falling from the ceiling and kidnapping Buford or something, but that’s for later.

Those ones aside, this category contains one of the best freestanding non-series fanfictions with the best plot twist in the world (even better than the legendary author O. Harry). Here you go.

2: Amnesia, apparently, isn’t permanent.

Yeah, so, remember that kiss that we got at the end of the Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension with Phineas and Isabella? (And then, to the dismay of all the shippers in the world, was subsequently removed from existence with Doofenshmirtz’s Amnesia-inator — all within the course of 10 seconds.)

Of course, in reality, amnesia isn’t permanent. So, of course, writers use this convenient plot device, such as making Phineas and/or Isabella remember the event in someway. Which, incidentally, sometimes always happens to be recollected in a dream. Or, they disregard the continuity of the show and simply state that Carl actually did stop when Phineas yelled “Wait, wait!”

Anyways, this brings me to my next point…

3: Amnesia is fake. It doesn’t exist. Who the hell told you about amnesia? What is that?

Or some weird Inception parody where everyone is in limbo or something.

In other words, let’s have everyone remember at the exact same time.

And, usually, for whatever reason, the O.W.C.A. doesn’t care anymore at this point.

How?

What the?

Who the?

Why the?

In fairness, they’re probably too occupied with, like, getting coffee. Or something.

4: Perry becomes a human.

And no, not like this.

Or this.

I mean, like, uh, well, Perry, uh, becomes a human.

It’s impossible to visualize Perry as a human…if they hadn’t done that already.

Uh, well, to be fair, in text format, you could think of Perry as a human, or platapus in any given story and it would make total sense! (Not really.)

5: Oh, and, for some reason, Perry and Doofenshmirtz, uh…

The_platypus_is_leading

…well, turn out to be homosexuals and oh, uh, I guess it’s okay for humans to have sexual relations with semi-aquatic mammals.

I apologize to those I have just offended with the top statement, but still, really? Poofenshmirtz.

Ah, I make myself laugh sometimes.

But anyways.

There actually was some criticsm on the episode “It’s About Time!” where some overbearing critics noted that the episode had some possible homosexual subtext. I won’t go into here simply because there isn’t enough room to put what they thought and also for the fact that it’s all so absurd and unnoticed, but if you wish to delve into that corner of the internet, have fun.

This goes into my next point…

6: Thanks for spamming the lemons on the tree.

Oh, how I can count the ways.

Actually, some writers think it’s a good idea to just throw everyone into a room and let chaos ensue.

Some others are more respectable and have an actual story arc or, at least, a plot behind it.

Others, well, just throw everyone into a room and let chaos ensue.

And yes, they include the adults as well.

7: They finally get busted.

Before you yell, yes, I do realize that there already has been an episode about this.

But, I guess other people don’t. Or at least, they do, and they’re like, “Oh, hey! Look at this amazing plot! Let’s just steal it, change one major detail, and boom! It’s our own, original, freaking story!”

I do apologize. Some of them are really good. Like, uh….this one and only this one.

Yes.

That was a joke.

You have no sense of humor, don’t you.

8: Somebody dies and then everyone has to cope.

Overly dramatic music starts playing.

Suddenly, we see a body fall in the distance.

A random glass pane breaks in the sky.

Someone gets hit by the shards of glass while buying groceries.

The person next to them starts crying hysterically even though they have no relationship with the person.

A broken heart overlay appears.

Dramatic flowing cursive starts writing itself on the screen, writing…

…”Los Hermanos y Muerte”

Screen fades out.

And suddenly…

“IT WAS THE BUTLER!”

The end.

9: Association by non-association so it must be, because we’re rational people, association.

Why do Stacy and Ginger happen to have some relationship in some of the fanfictions? (Oh, wait, well, I think that’s already become unintentional Word of God in the past year since “One Good Turn”.)

Uh, okay, then.

Well, uh, moving on.

10: Ferb and Gretchen.

I just want to know who the heck came up with this idea.

When I find out, I will personally drive over to your house, and have a seven course dinner on why this cannot and will not happen.

Oh, you write fanfictions?

Okay then. You have your pleasures, I have mine.

…Which, incidentially, include writing fanfictions.
